Over the recent decades, a massive amount of new knowledge and research has been added to various fields of science including engineering. Due to the half-life of knowledge and the urgent need for replacing old information with new findings, learning has become quite challenging task for the learners. The demand of new line of learning is focus on critical thinking, problem solving, and applying learned materials in various fields. Also, in different area of engineering, learning and appropriate application of knowledge is of remarkable significance. In order to prepare an appropriate instructional design for different fields of study, the various approaches to information analysis and learning styles of students should be examined and revised. The aim of this research was to study and compare learning styles and their relation to hemispheric dominance in male and female engineering students. The results of this study indicated that engineering male and female students are different with regard to their perception and processing information and their learning styles. Also, there was a significant relationship between learning styles and hemispheric dominance. Findings of this study would be beneficial for appropriate instructional designs, especially in distance education.

Surveying and identifying objectives are the first step to be taken in engineering educational programming, so that if carried out properly, a more objective basis for correlating educations with organizational needs will be achievable. In this article it is aimed to that using comparative- surveying methods find out training needs of engineers in Iran electronic industries company regarding technical, human and perceptional skills. Statistic society in this research is comprised of all engineers under training course between 2005 to 2009. Since, it is not feasible to focus on all individuals, 150 people were adopted randomly and asked to fill out a questionnaire. One hundred and ten questionnaires were returned. The questionnaire includes 30 questions, which are at 92% level of validity based on Chronbach’s Alpha that is the questionnaire has good stability. An information analysis was performed through comparative and deductive methods. Findings of the study illustrates that majority of engineers need more technical and perceptional training. In addition, our analyses showed that there is no meaningful relation between type degree, work experiences and authorities of engineers and required skills.

: Lighting Quality is one of the most effective factorson student’s performances. In respect of visual quality, high performance schools have valuable educational spaces and theses spaces creation is possible with proper design. The aim of present Article is to achive to the measure and effect process of various factors on proper daylighting in different classroom’s circumsments (16 tips). In this correlation research with modelling method – Structural Equation Modelling- in statistic case studies includes 2324 students, researcher made questionnaire is accomplished and through the causal relations modeling by path analysis, direct and indirect effects of window’s physical variables on daylighting studied. The research’s statistical case studies includes Tehran guidance schools. Among these population, girlish and boyish schools of three zone of Tehran (3,11&18) as the statistic case studies in sixteen types of classrooms – in order to control four variables; window’s orientation, window’s transparency, height of window’s okb and window’s glass percent – to answer the questionnaire – by the method of multi stage casual racemose – are selected. The questionnaire in several stages prepared and its validity and reliability is estimated. Questionnaire reliability measure (α= 0/825) and its validity is optained by content validity and construct validity. The research method is causal relations modeling by path analysis. Found model and its data tables shows the importance of four factors; "view and its effects", "glare", "lighting quality" and "window’s nonvisual effects". Among these factors, "view" factor is independent variable, "window’s nonvisual effects" is dependent variable and other factors are mediator variables. Furtheremore, hypothesis survey showed that controlled variables (window’s orientation, window’s transparency, height of window’s okb and window’s glass percent) are effective on measure and effect process in Tehran guidance schools classrooms daylighting.

The aim of this research was to determine the effect of teaching method (lecture and multimedia) on the level of achievement motivation and self-regulation students of distance education centers in Tehran Arabic cource (2). All statistical community to second grade students of humanities degree distance learning centers in Tehran and in the academic year studying 1388-89 were comprised. To select samples randomly from the multi-stage cluster is used. Total sample size of "30 was randomly divided into 15 groups, then a group of multimedia teaching method and the other group received training in methods of training lecture. Academic achievement motivation and self-regulation through varlland test learners through tests self-regulation strategies and pintrich °roate (1990) were measured. pretest has shown not significant difference between the two groups (a) and (2) the level of achievement motivation and self-regulation of Arabic cource (2). Data obtained from these two tests using covariance analysis to help software and Excell SPSS18 were analyzed. The results have shown, achievement motivation between these two groups there is no significant difference. After observed no differences between two groups of academic achievement motivation, internal and external motivation of two groups using independent t tests were calculated and analyzed. Our results showed no difference in academic achievement motivation among internal and external groups the subjects. The self-regulation in the field, the results had suggested that the two groups in their regulatory subscales except anxiety, and efficiency and goal orientation, there is no significant difference.

English professors and educators believe that word-mapping technique can improve foreign language learners’ vocabulary and grammar. Those, in turn, enhance the learners’ productive skills, i.e., speaking and writing. The present study, through the pre-test post-test control group design, attempted to examine the effect of word - mapping technique on oral production. To achieve the purpose of the study, one test was given to both experimental and control groups twice, at the start of the study to assess the entry behavior of the participants and at the end of the study to assess the effect of the treatment. The analysis of the gain scores, via independent samples t-test, revealed that there was no significant impact of using word –mapping technique on the learners’ oral production. However, since the experimental group members exhibited more enthusiastic participation during the treatment, it would not be strange to claim that word-mapping helps the learners organize the materials in their minds. Thus, it may promote the learners’ self-confidence thereby motivate them for active class participation.

The aim of the present study was to evaluate the reconstruction, validity and reliability of the “Attitude/Motivation Test Battery” in language learning. To achieve this purpose, AMTS was translated into Farsi and evaluated by back translation. The sample of 254 (140 male and 114 female) graduate university students from different majors of Tehran universities were chosen by the random cluster sampling. They answered the AMTS questionnaire. The analysis methods included the item analysis (discrimination coefficient and Loop method), content and construction validity (path analysis) and reliability (calculation of Alpha Cronbach coefficiency for all questionnaires and factors). As a result, 7 factors were recognized including attitude towards language learning importance, language learning anxiety, parents’ encouragement of language learning, negative attitude to language teachers, demotivation of language learning, positive attitude towards native speakers and integrative motivation to language learning were evaluated. The reliability of the questionnaire measured by Alpha Cronbach was 0.848. Regarding the results of this study, AMTB has appropriate validity and reliability. This instrument can measure the motivation and attitude of iraninan language learners.
