Environmental monitoring for extraction of learner’s features and accurately learner modeling is a time and cost consuming task. This paper proposes a flexible framework using agent architecture capabilities in learners’ monitoring and also in optimization of Intelligent Tutoring subsystems interactions. In this research learner’s learning approaches have been recognized by learning style theory then their uncertainty has been reduced by Bayesian Network. This framework prepares recommendations by combination of learners’ learning style and learner’s abilities (that are computed by Item Response Theory (IRT)) for three groups: learners, tutors and system designer. The architecture of proposed tutoring system has been presented in three layers. In middle layer there are four agents that monitor learners, create learner’s model, update it and prepare some recommendations based on courseware features, learner’s abilities and his/her learning style. A study was conducted on 30 Computer Engineering students during one semester. The implementation of the proposed system on participants indicates an increase in all evaluation factors, for example it doubles educational success rate and learner’s satisfaction rate.

In this study, firstly two challenges ahead of SMEs in doing need assessment & educational planning are considered. Then the issue of finding and selecting training courses is elaborated. Afterwards, a system of recommending training courses using case-based reasoning and Fuzzy Model is presented in order to identify the need assessment of firms as well as planning a suitable curriculum. The case-based reasoning is based on this principle that similar problems have similar solutions. In the knowledge base (case base) of this methodology in which the information & records of the past are gathered as cases, helps to collect & maintain the experts' knowledge in the proposed system. In this system, the Fuzzy model has been used to cope with the ambiguities & uncertainties in case representation and retrieval phase. EFQM (European Foundation for Quality Management) is applied for case modeling. Besides, in order to overcome the cold start problem, a module that is called SMART (Supplementary Module to Accomplish Recommending Task) has been used in which infer as an expert. Finally, this system is evaluated and the results are reported.

Narration in education by using all the elements of narrative literature is one of the active teaching methods. This method has already been used in teaching children and adolescents, but research about the application of method in different branches of academic education, such as engineering, medicine etc has recently started. Narration is one of the human mind bases for thinking in different areas of science and art. Considering the research topic is new, library studies ful bfiled first and then quasi-experimental study was used to prove the research results, Library studies was used by the researchers to compare the structure of both story and architecture in order to find their interactional relationship and bilateral effects on each. The psychological impact of narration on architecture education has been investigated in different subjects. A quasi-experimental study was carried out as two-groups, post-test only in faculty of architecture of Bushehr Azad University in 2010. Two groups each including 29 architecture students and achieved results were compared using t-test by SPSS software. As a result, considering to narrative nature of architecture, narration can be used in sense of space and architecture design. It is highly recommended to use narration in architecture education. It also helps the students to keep learned architecture concepts and ethic values in their mind for a long period of time. The mean of the total scores achieved by the lecture group was 11.7±1.31 and by storytelling group was 14.1±1.05 out of the total score 20. The difference between the two groups was statistically significant. The finding of this research can be applied in digital stories and, production of pedagogical books, films and computer games, which cause a familiarity with the architect tural by society as well as prepare children to understand the architecture.

While there is an expanding literature on the challenges and practicalities of implementing Task-Based Language Teaching (TBLT) in East Asian educational setting, there is a dearth of research with regard to its effectiveness in foreign language settings and West Asian classes. The purpose of this study was to investigate the impact of TBLT on Iranian university students’ reading comprehension ability and English achievement in an English-for-Specific-Purposes (ESP) course. Two intact groups of university students majoring in Mechanical Engineering (Production and Manufacturing) participated in the experiment. The control group received instruction in grammar-translation method through presentation, practice and production procedure with focus on teaching reading, grammar, vocabulary and translation. The experimental group experienced strong version of TBLT through pre-task, task, and post-task procedure. The experiment lasted for one semester. Students’ reading comprehension ability and achievement in ESP were assessed at the end of the experience. The results revealed that the experimental group outperformed the control group in both assessed variables, confirming the fact that TBLT is an effective way of teaching English to Iranian ESP students.

Social capital which is resources and rewards that people achieve through social relations has gained a wide acceptance in recent decades. However, there has been little research regarding the impact of social capital on occupational activity. The purpose of writing this paper is to study the effects of social capital on occupational activities, of public university faculty members based in Tehran. In order to do this the researcher has taken advantage Putnam and Coleman’s measure of social capital among the university faculty members and then the relationship and its impact on their business activities have been discussed. The components of social capital include the quality of relationships (trustworthiness) and quantity of relationships (membership in groups and associations and cooperative relations) were measured and assessed. This research is correlational. The participants include 160 faculty members of the public universities located in Tehran in the first half of the year 1388. Based on the Cochrane formula, 120 subjects were selected by random sampling. Information was collected through a questionnaire. The questionnaire is considered reliable with a Cranbach alpha coefficient of 0.901. The findings indicate that social capital had a positive and significant impact on the employment aspects of faculty activity. Therefore, the hypotheses of the study stating the relation between social capital and faculty members occupational activity level, quality of education and quality of work was supported.

The purpose of this study is to assess the mathematics teachers’ knowledge of geometry based on Van Hiele Model of Geometric Thought. 38 pre-service and 12 in-service mathematics teachers participated in this study. In this research, a test was devised according to Van Hiele Model. T-test with was deployed in order to analyze data. The research method is causal-comparative method. Finding show that the participants have passed through third level of thinking but have not achieved fourth level of thinking. While researches indicate that teachers should at least acquire the fourth level of thinking. Hence the geometric course in the current program for preparing mathematics teachers, have not offered sufficient professional knowledge for pre-service and in-service mathematics teachers.
