The present study was conducted with the purpose of investigating the instructional- learning processes of vocational schools in Hamadan province. These processes have three parts: learning processes, teaching activities, and evaluation procedures. All the parts have been studied separately, as well as combined together in order to understand the processes precisely. Ten research questions were raised and two measurement instruments were made for handling all the questions. The type of study was both qualitative and statistical. The research variables include. Sex, teacher's skill level, trainee's professional ability and trainee are major of study. The study groups were selected randomly from Hamadan schools and included 240 trainees, 80 instructors, and 30 administrators. The research findings were: 1- The overall performance of Hamadan province vocational schools was judged to be between good and very good. 2- The trainees evaluated the instructors to be good in observing teaching principles. 3- The achievement of trainees was above average. 4- Instructors and administrate as showed good satisfaction from students, performances. 5- The quality and procedure of evaluation was considered to be average. 6- No differences were observed between men and women.

A relatively large number of 4th-grade public primary school students in Iran did not perform at acceptable levels in the national and international assessment of mathematics (such as, TIMSS, 2003, 2007). One concept that poses significant difficulty for these students and negatively affects their overall mathematics achievement is fractions. Many researchers have attributed these difficulties primarily to traditional instruction of fraction that emphasizes on procedural rather than conceptual knowledge. Therefore this study was designed to investigate the effect of a multi-representational instruction on student conceptual understanding of fraction concepts. The participants of the study were 40 students at two primary schools. This study utilized a quasi-experimental design in which students at one school (control) learn fraction concepts with a traditional instructional approach while students at the other school (treatment) learn these concepts with an instructional approach simultaneously introducing multiple representations. The effect of a multi-representational instruction on students’ understanding was assessed with a pretest and posttest. For deeper investigation of the process of understanding and thinking of students, qualitative interviews were also conducted with three participants from each school. The findings of the study indicated that students in treatment group scored significantly higher, and develop of the conceptual understanding of the concept of fractions, and therefore they have less misconception when learning fraction concepts. Besides the findings of the study, indicated that students in treatment group have resistant learning of concept of fractions.

It is shown that the understanding and applications of Newton’s laws are not so easy for students on the actual problems in their life. In the other hands, the physics of flight is one of the attractive and beautiful subjects for most of them. The different motions of paper plains are learned by teaching the physics of flight. This subject is applied for teaching the concepts and applications of Newton’s laws in a circular motion. In our study 50 (boys and girls) students are participated in three separated paper plane flight workshops. They designed and made different kinds of paper planes which had special motions according to the physics’ laws. A comparison between the pre-exam and post-exam shows the increasing of the correct answers. It is shown that the workshops could have a positive influence on the understanding of the concepts and applications of Newton’s laws. So there was an enhancement on the attitude of students about physics and its applications.

In this research, the effectiveness of Computer-Assisted Instruction on Academic Achievement of Higher Primary School in Ahwaz City has been surveying. Two hounded students (boys and girls) randomly selected and in each school, two classes (50 students in each class and totally four classes), were divided with the same teacher in science subject. It has collected around 200 academic achievement scores in science subject in form of pre-test and post-test from two different groups (control and experimental group). Pre-achievement scores in science in previous semester and non-verbal intelligence scores have obtained as co-variates for the study. It has analyzed the results that has compared between two groups with respect to academic achievement in science subject. The results revealed that the Computer-Assisted Instruction software package has its effect on academic achievement in science subject of students in experimental group and scores of students in experimental group were higher than scores of students in control group. In addition, the results revealed that there is no significant difference between boys and girls in academic achievement scores in science of experimental group after implement the Computer-Assisted Instruction software package teaching method and both of two groups have higher scores in science subject.

A key issue in assessing the learning styles of English as foreign language (EFL) students is the development of a valid and reliable instrument. This paper reports and discusses the results of administering one learning styles questionnaire, which is a further development of Wintergerst , DeCapua (2002) Learning Styles Indicator (LSI) originally developed for the ESL learners. The questionnaire has three constructs, namely, group activity orientation (GAO), individual activity orientation (IAO), and project orientation (PO). The new questionnaire has two more constructs, namely, induction (INDUC) and deduction (DEDUC). Five hundred Iranian students were given the questionnaire. However, three hundred sixty three questionnaires were returned. The results, investigated through confirmatory factor analysis and Cronbach’s alpha, revealed that the questionnaire would be a valid and reliable measure of the learning styles of the Iranian students of English.

The focus of this study was to clarify the degree of relationship between field Transfer of Learning by means of application in the modern physics (laser) and common field. To achieve this goal an intact group of 85 students in introductory level college in Shahreray zone in Tehran in Iran participated in test. The major objectives of the test were to investigate students’ transfer of physics learning from their experiences of watching laser applications to the provided physical models, from one model to the other and from the models to the modern physics (laser) problems. To find the degree of relationship between tow variables point- biserial correlation coefficient was used. To compare the mean scores of the tow variables the independent T-test technique was used. The result of the statistical analyses revealed that in the knowledge domain that was significant difference between the control and the experimental groups.

Considering that teacher is important and the most important factors in the development of effect qualitative education system, the present research have assessed methods of elementary school teacher’s training. In this research, the quantitative and quality methods of study have been utilized. The statistical population of this research includes the principals of elementary schools, experts, and teachers of teacher training center of Qom in the educational year of 2008-2009. In order to select the principals, classified sampling method was used in congruency with the size; purposeful sampling method was used to determine the experts' sample. In this regard 162 principals', 20 experts and members of the faculty's view analyzed who had a great research background. The validity of the questionnaire and the interview has been confirmed by some of the professors and PhD and M.A students. The reliability of the questionnaire has been estimated in selection as 0.87 respectively, using the Crunbach alpha. In order to analyze the results descriptively and analytically, the SPSS software has been used; in order to analyze the interview, the categorization method has been utilized. The results show that In order to teach and train the teachers, up- to- date and implicational subjects and courses should be prepared, experienced and qualified teachers should be employed, training courses should be held, equipments should be provided in accordance with the teachers' needs to improve the generic and technical qualification of both students and teachers. In this regard, using the experience of developed countries (Paying attention to cultural differences); in teacher training programs were underlined to make the reviewing, amending and developing possible. Finally, some recommendations were suggested to improve the training of the elementary teachers.
