The use of modern educational technology has become increasingly common during the recent years. In this study we try to investigate the teachers’ attitudes toward the use of modern educational technology in the classroom. The participants were 330 teachers randomly selected from a population of 775 teachers in Sabzevar. A questionnaire was prepared by the researchers and distributed among female and male participants. The data were analyzed using x2 test. The results of this research show that a significant difference exists between male and female attitudes. We also observed a significant difference the duration of teaching and the place of teaching.

Social capital which is resources and rewards that people achieve through social relations has gained a wide acceptance in recent decades. However, there has been little research regarding the impact of social capital on occupational activity. The purpose of writing this paper is to study the effects of social capital on occupational activities, of public university faculty members based in Tehran. In order to do this the researcher has taken advantage Putnam and Coleman’s measure of social capital among the university faculty members and then the relationship and its impact on their business activities have been discussed. The components of social capital include the quality of relationships (trustworthiness) and quantity of relationships (membership in groups and associations and cooperative relations) were measured and assessed. This research is correlational. The participants include 160 faculty members of the public universities located in Tehran in the first half of the year 1388. Based on the Cochrane formula, 120 subjects were selected by random sampling. Information was collected through a questionnaire. The questionnaire is considered reliable with a Cranbach alpha coefficient of 0.901. The findings indicate that social capital had a positive and significant impact on the employment aspects of faculty activity. Therefore, the hypotheses of the study stating the relation between social capital and faculty members occupational activity level, quality of education and quality of work was supported.

The present study was conducted with the purpose of investigating the instructional- learning processes of vocational schools in Hamadan province. These processes have three parts: learning processes, teaching activities, and evaluation procedures. All the parts have been studied separately, as well as combined together in order to understand the processes precisely. Ten research questions were raised and two measurement instruments were made for handling all the questions. The type of study was both qualitative and statistical. The research variables include. Sex, teacher's skill level, trainee's professional ability and trainee are major of study. The study groups were selected randomly from Hamadan schools and included 240 trainees, 80 instructors, and 30 administrators. The research findings were: 1- The overall performance of Hamadan province vocational schools was judged to be between good and very good. 2- The trainees evaluated the instructors to be good in observing teaching principles. 3- The achievement of trainees was above average. 4- Instructors and administrate as showed good satisfaction from students, performances. 5- The quality and procedure of evaluation was considered to be average. 6- No differences were observed between men and women.

Population growth is among the most important priorities of every society if it is to achieve health and development. Proper education, by means of creating a change in individual’s attitudes and thought patterns, is considered a fundamental step in achieving the goals of family planning. In order to succeed suitable educational methods should be chosen. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of active learning method on engineering students in a population and planning course. This was a quasi-experimental study with two groups in a pre-test post-test design. Convenient sampling was used to choose 48 students from Shahid Rajaee Teacher Training University. These participants were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. After the pretest, the control and experimental groups received training using the traditional and active learning method respectively for 17 sessions during 4 months. Then the post-test was administered. The achievement test consisted of two parts. One part evaluated the student’s knowledge and the second part measured meaningful learning in the population and planning course. In order to analyze the results the SPSS was used to run t-tests and ANOVA. The results showed both educational methods were useful in enhancing students’ knowledge and meaningful learning. But there was a significant difference between the experimental and control groups in meaningful learning. Considering the statistically significant effect of active learning method on students’ meaningful learning, it is recommended that the active learning method be used for courses that require deep learning that will contribute to the health and development of society.
