Background and Objectives: Since students’ mental focus is one of the main conditions for learning and academic achievement, investigation of the factors that can help restoring this factor in students, is very important. In the meantime, it seems that in addition to the student’s individual and the inner factors, the factors related to teaching and learning quality, physical variables in the classroom can affect this critical feature too. It seems that creating visual permeability and the optimal visual connection of classrooms with the view of outside through the classroom window as one of the physical variables of the classroom, by creating a visual opportunity, albeit short, to a view outside the classroom can be reconstructed student’s mental activity and help them to relieve their mental fatigue. The current research seeks to achieve an optimal state with restoration of mental focus of students via investigating some physical variables of the classroom window such as the window length and height variables. It can take a critical step in line with reducing the mental fatigue and restoration of mental focus of high school students who are in specific age range and have superior learning opportunities compared to other educational levels. From that point, the view from the window has a great impact on this process. It should be noted that the window in this study overlooks the natural elements and green space of the school yard. Methods: The statistical population of this research is all male and female students who were studying during the educational year of 2018-2019 in the high schools of Shiraz city in the age range of 16-18, who were selected as the sample pf the current study via cluster random sampling. The subjects were first assessed by a psychological test approved by psychologists and then completed a researcher-made questionnaire to make that subject more generalizable. To analyze research data and to find a relationship between physical variable of window length and height and student’s mental focus restoration, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) was used. Findings: The results show that changes in the physical state and the size of classroom window can affect the restoration of students’ mental focus. Accordingly, to the present research, decreasing the window length from 3.5 to 2.5 and 1.5 reduces the level of students’ mental focus from 149 to 148.9 and ultimately 148.1. As well, changing window height from 2 meters to 1.5 and 1 m, the students’ mental focus changes from 149 to 148.8 and 147.3. Conclusions: The level of students’ mental focus does not depend solely on the students' conditions, academic performance, the quality and teaching methods of teachers; but also, the physical environment of schools and the interior design of classrooms can have a significant impact on this importance. The presence of classroom window as one of the classroom physical variables, not only does not lead to the student's distraction, but also, via creating views toward outside natural elements, conscious placement, suitable dimensions can be a really important factor in restoration of the students’ mental focus.

Lack of physical activity is one of the main concerns about children's public health. Physical environment is one of the variables that seems to affect the level of physical activity. The Purpose of this study was to construct and validate competency scale for evaluating physical features promoting the physical activity of children in the school yard. The statistical population of the study was children aged 8 to 11 years old in Tehran. Sampling was done in a multi-stage cluster sampling, and 120 selected children participated voluntarily in the selected areas. The method applied in this research was descriptive-correlation. Content validity of the questionnaire was confirmed by an expert university panel, its face validity was confirmed by a group of children and construct validity was evaluated using the confirmatory factor analysis. Based on exploratory factor analysis with varimax rotation, 21 items were divided into 3 factors. Total variance of these factors explained% 53.858 variance of physical features. According to experts, the resulting agents were called "environment attraction", "community spaces" and "play development". The findings of this study identify the most important physical variables that affect physical activity in the school yard, so it can be used to design the school yard.

Undoubtedly Planners any organization and especially the elite university courses and inform policy, goals and methods are chosen. It is because of this application is any application within the specified period. The purpose of this paper is to compare the effectiveness and near the architectural design courses 2 and 4 in the activities of professional architects and important factors affecting the activity and be professional architects. An applied research and analytical method is described. Quantitative methods and techniques as well as to evaluate the information from the survey (see the questionnaire) is used. The results show that proximity and relationship issues with professional design 2, 4 more than the architectural design 2 and 4 with an architectural design that graduates in their professional work experience is a huge gap. Also, due to administrative issues, performance issues in a professional and effective idea are considered to be less attention to this subject in universities.

One of the most important steps in planning the design of educational facilities, is attention to the physical safety of these spaces, especially in elementary schools. For this reason, the priority in the designing is safety of the child and then due to the flexibility of the environment and tools, to give the child's chance of imagination. This study aimed to evaluate the importance of physical security and safety, environmental variables that creates safety in the educational spaces, in order to achieve a more favorable atmosphere has been done. In case study examples, solutions can be found to solve the problem in schools and in planning for the future, measures to promote safety in our schools. The research study, so that in the first phase, the theoretical research gathered through library studies, that was based on the results of the research. In the next step is to test hypotheses, field studies and interviews have been done on 8 elementary schools in Rasht, and the questionnaires were distributed in two stages, the required results gathered and analyzed. The findings showed that for respondents so many factors such as correct location of schools, access, privacy and security in the performance of schools and educational facilities described have special significance, despite the fact that is, the level of security in schools body was moderate, however, physical security, enhancing the utility of educational facilities and increase children's learning outcomes will follow.

Environmental education and evaluation is one of the most important tools to preserve the human built and natural environment. This article presents an ecological pattern in sustainable settlement education with emphasis on the university campus landscape and architecture design. As the main assumption, the university architecture and campus landscape can influence the students' perception and behavior in relation to sustainable development. The educational built environment of the university campus-as a behavior setting- has an affordance to convey the sustainability concepts to the students. The paper reviews some case studies in Europe and attempts to introduce sustainable development education with university architecture and campus design in Iran. The article has resulted a conceptual pattern with some environmental design strategies in both architecture and landscape design disciplines. Green buildings design, campus landscape design with bioclimatic approach, design for public transport, cycling and walking and creating green and quality public open spaces with community buildings are of the main strategies in university campus design.
